Pastor Gaylan D. Grant has a rich history in the Assemblies of God. His grandfather and great-uncle were present at Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1914 when the Assemblies of God was first organized. His father, Rev. S.M. Grant and his uncle, Rev. U.S. Grant, were both Assemblies of God ministers.
Pastor Grant earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible from Central Bible College, in Springfield, MO in 1974.
Pastor Grant has served in a variety of ministry capacities. He has been a bus captain, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Pastor, Christian Education Director, Minister of Music, Associate Pastor, and Senior Pastor. He has served in the Arizona District, the Northwest District, the Kansas District, and the North Texas District. He has served three congregations as senior pastor: Bethel Assembly in Walla Walla, WA; First Assembly of God in Derby, Kansas; and Bethel Temple Assembly of God, in Killeen, TX.
Rev. Grant is active in the North Texas District Council of the Assemblies of God. He is currently serving as a Sectional Rep for Men's Honorbound Ministries. He is also participating in the Church Life Resources Stable Church Cohort, a program designed to create Healthy Churches and Coaches for other churches.

According to Pastor Grant, nothing he has done has left him with the great sense of reward that he gets from pastoring. "It's what I'm called to, trained for, and passionate about!"
Pastor Grant is married to Beverly and they have been married over 35 years. They have three children: one son and two daughters. All of their children are married with children of their own. That means the Grant's have four grand-children: two grand-daughters and two grand-sons. They thoroughly enjoy being grandparents. Pastor Grant is also a writer and a very good cook.
