The View from Here:

What are the signs of revival?

I'm sure there is a list somewhere.  I'm sure that I've run across it somewhere.  There's always a list.

What I'm really asking though, is what are the signs of revival in your life?  I'm convinced that "revival" is an individual event.  When several or many people in a common environment begin to experience a personal "revival", I believe that is when the synergy of the Holy Spirit begins to be felt collectively and "revival" breaks out in the greater community of believers, i.e. The Church.

So, what's going on with you?  Has your hunger and thirst for got increased?  Are you praying more?  Are you fasting?  Are you finding an insatiable appetite for more of God's Word?  Are you desiring to spend more time with other beleivers?  Are you feeling the desire or the need to share your faith with those around you?  Are you feeling the need or desire to serve the Kingdom of God?  Is your giving increasing?  Are you seeing people healed or saved as a result of your prayer for them?

There are many signs of revival in our midst right now.  Albeit, they tend to be isolated here and there.  Sounds like a weather report:  "Watch for isolated showers of blessing!"  I'm ready for more than the isolated showers.  I'm ready for revival to become the "normal" order of the day.  I'm ready for you to have a breakthrough.  It's time for you to draw near to God.  It's time for me to draw near to God.

'During the last 30 days of my 40 day fast, I can sense a hunger and thirst for God like I have never before experienced.  I'm grateful for the blessings I've received, but I'm not ready for it to be over.  I'm ready for it to continue in my life and spill over into yours. ARe you ready.

If you are ready, begin now to seek God and pray that revival will come to your soul and to many souls.  I think Killeen is ready and in need of a revival of God proportions.  If we seek Him, it will come!
